On the Spiritual Side of Life

The Lord, my God, has blessed me with revelation knowledge to share with you.  Join me on Tuesday evenings, 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. as we study the Old Testament.  Devotion begins at 7:00 p.m.

We will begin our study with the book of Genesis and end our study with the book of Malachi.  Topics to be discussed include the Creation, the Fall of Man, the Flood, Babel, the Fathers: Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph, the Exodus, the Conquest of Canaan, the Judges, the United Kingdom, the Divided Kingdom, the Surviving Kingdom, the Babylonian Captivity and the Restoration.   

Instructions to the Believer

Romans 12:12 ~ Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

John 16:33 ~ I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Philippians 4:6-7 ~ Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Proverbs 3:5-6 ~ Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths

Tribulations Will Come

1 Peter 4:12 ~ Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.

Romans 8:18 ~ For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

1 Corinthians 10:13 ~ No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

James 1:2 ~ Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,

The Promises of God

James 1:12 ~ Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

1 Peter 5:10 ~ And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

Romans 5:3 ~ More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,

Exodus 14:14 ~ The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”
